Pop culture effects society resources

I want to start by saying that pop culture actually does play an important role in our daily life's according to Maren Hansen news editor The music we love to listen to on our earphones, the movies we watch on hulu, netflix etc are all part of pop culture.http://mcphersonhighlife.wordpress.com/2013/09/25/pop-culture-plays-an-important-role-in-society/
Can you imagine how life without movies, tv shows and music would be like?
sometimes when we watch a movie it effects the way we think act etc the point is whenever you go to a movie theater and watch a movie you go for a experience basically better sound better quality of scenes you get a better experience then if you were at home watching it in you tablet phone flat screen tv etc.
I recently watched Lucy I really enjoyed this film because it was very interesting watching a girl who was very simple very confused didn't exactly know what to do with her life go from vulnerable uncertain to be able to control all the elements around her to having all this knowledge from this chemical drug inside of her to be able to do things she has never done before. Also it was interesting because in the movie there is a professor who had all these theories of all this research he has done about the human brain capacity basically everything he has imagine become real.
I found this film very fascinating because I found myself wondering If that could ever be possible and what can actually happen if we were able to have more then 10% of capacity of our brain... Would we use that knowledge for good or bad? It also had me thinking is the less knowledge we have make us weak vulnerable scared of death more? I don't know see in this film she seems to start loosing everything that made her human was suddenly disappearing slowly she was gaining so much knowledge she was loosing all emotions. So I can say that pop culture is effective in us in some sorta of way in our way of thinking seeing things when we watch TV shows or movies.
